About the Founder
Matthew Nunnally is an economic consultant focused on the financial aspects of intellectual property and other legal matters. Using his background in accounting and economics, his work centers on IP disputes and valuation, preliminary case assessments, and financial damages models.
Through years of work experience with attorneys, technical specialists, companies, creators, and other financial experts, Matthew has an extensive understanding of economic damages approaches and reasonable royalty methodologies. Having collaborated with law firms and accounting companies, he has developed an efficient and effective process for IP valuation and damages modeling. Matthew’s areas of expertise include patent infringement, trade secret misappropriation, lost profits, trademark violation, brand misuse, copyright infringement, and personal injury.
During his time consulting in the legal business, Matthew has prepared reports and computed financial models for a wide variety of applications. He has evaluated numerous companies and products in industries such as medical devices, semiconductors, software, digital content and streaming, consumer electronics, security systems, mobile networking, chemical processes, and many others.
Prior to establishing Nunnally Capital, Matthew functioned in a variety of roles within several recognized firms and companies. As a Certified Public Accountant, he has worked in IP litigation and damages, financial consulting, and auditing and assurance. Matthew graduated from Auburn University with bachelors degrees in both accountancy and economics, and earned his masters degree in accountancy from Wake Forest University.
